It was all
a dream.
It all begins with an idea. PopUp Farm Picnics was born from my childhood on a small farm in upstate New York. My father was a dairy farmer with a big, beautiful garden that grew everything from potatoes and rhubarb to cucumbers and squash. My mother was the heart of our kitchen — canning, storing, and cooking what we harvested so we could eat from the garden all year long (no small feat in a New York winter). My older sisters even ran a farm stand in front of our house, earning enough each summer to buy their school clothes. Those early lessons in hard work, fresh food, and community stayed with me. Today, PopUp Farm Picnics carries on those family traditions — gathering people around local farms, seasonal produce, and thoughtfully prepared meals to celebrate simple pleasures, meaningful connections, and the joy of eating close to the land.
